Couple days at Rincon!!

Hey All, went up north this last week for a few days and spent a few days surfing rincon with Yades!! Was a blast, first few waves had some long ones and the legs were burning! By the final sesh i could ride one the whole point and was feeling great, nice to get the point break legs going for the upcoming year knowing that the first 2 events are long rights! Was a fun few days up there and hopefully we can have a few more in the upcoming swells!!

BRETT SIMPSON QUALIFIES FOR THE 2010 ASP WORLD TOUR

HB's finest finishes the most competitive WQS in history in the Top 10
For the past month or so, Brett Simpson didn't want to claim anything yet. Even though his third in Brazil put him well past the "cutoff mark," Brett wasn't throwing any "qualifying parties" or taking any time off. "I just want to do well in Hawaii," he said.

And while his competitive stint on the North Shore didn't go as well as he hoped, he did win a heat in huge, washthrough Sunset and was a regular standout wherever he surfed. And now, with the conclusion of the O'Neill World Cup at Sunset today, Brett Simpson is absolutely, officially a 2010 ASP World Tour member. "What can I say? It feels great," says Brett. "Having the pressure off in Hawaii was nice, but it didn't make me try any less. Hawaii is still the most important place to do well."

Along with Simpson, a record-breaking five new Americans qualified for the tour this year, including Patrick Gudauskas, Nate Yeomans, Tanner Gudauskas and Dusty Payne. A lot can be attributed to the work of Ian Cairns, who's been coaching Simpson, Yeomans and others and giving the confidence and know-how to make it over the hump.

Simpson will be heading back over to California today in pursuit of this next big swell. The Hurley family congratulates Brett on this huge milestone. We're confident this is only the beginning for Mr. Simpson on the world stage.
